Strety People Space | Complete Guide

Learn how People spaces in Strety bring together Rocks, Measurables, To Dos, 1:1 Agendas, Reviews, and personal tools.

Written by Derek Weaver

Your People space is your personal dashboard in Strety. It brings together your assigned Rocks, Measurables (metrics/KPIs), To Dos, 1:1 Agenda, Reviews, and personal tools so you can prepare for meetings, manage priorities, and collaborate with your manager from one place.

Use this guide to understand what appears in your People space, who can access it, and how to use it as your central workspace in Strety.

Understand Strety spaces

Strety Spaces are the backbone of your account. A Space determines where items can be seen, managed, and shared across Strety.

There are four types of Spaces:

Company Space

The Company Space is for items that affect your entire organization, such as Docs, Messages, and company-wide resources.

Team Space

Team Spaces represent the actual teams in your Strety account. Teams use these spaces to manage shared work, run Agendas, review Rocks and Measurables, discuss Issues, and stay aligned.

People space

A People space brings together the items someone is assigned across all Teams they are a member of, along with their personal or private items.

Your People space acts as your personal dashboard in Strety, giving you one place to review assigned Rocks, Measurables, To Dos, 1:1 Agenda items, Reviews, and other personal tools.

Project Space

Project Spaces are used for work related to a Strety project. They can include project-specific To Dos, Issues, Agendas, Docs, and other items connected to that project.

For a deeper overview of how Spaces work in Strety, read Strety Spaces | A Complete Guide to Team, Person, & Project Spaces.

Open your People space

  1. Open the People dropdown from the top navigation bar.

  2. Select your name.

Your People space opens as a personal dashboard where you can review your work, access your 1:1 Agenda, and use tools that support personal planning and development.

Access and visibility

You can view who has access to your People space by selecting Members.

Access is automatically granted to:

  • You

  • Your direct manager

  • Managers above your direct manager in the reporting hierarchy

If you manage people in Strety, you can also view the People spaces for employees who report to you. Depending on your organization’s reporting hierarchy, this may include people who roll up to your direct reports.

Use your People space as your work dashboard

Your People space automatically collects assigned work from across Strety. Rocks, Measurables, and To Dos assigned to you in Team Spaces or Project Spaces appear in your People space automatically.

You do not need to move, duplicate, or manually share these items back to your personal space.

The video above shows how Rocks, Measurables, and To Dos aggregate in your People space. For written guidance, continue to the sections below.

Rocks

Any Rock assigned to you from a Team Space or Project Space automatically appears in your People space.

Use your People space to:

  • View all assigned Rocks in one place

  • Check in on Rocks before weekly meetings

  • Update progress without navigating between teams

  • Prepare for upcoming L10s or project meetings more efficiently

For example, if you belong to several teams, you can update all of your assigned Rocks from one view instead of opening each Team Space separately.

Measurables

Any Scorecard Measurable assigned to you automatically appears in your People space.

Use your People space to:

  • Review all assigned Measurables in one location

  • Enter weekly updates quickly

  • Prepare Scorecard numbers before team meetings

  • Keep your metrics current across multiple teams

When you update a Measurable from your People space, that update is reflected where the Measurable originated.

To Dos

Your People space also consolidates To Dos assigned to you across Team Spaces and Project Spaces.

Use your People space to:

  • View assigned tasks from multiple spaces

  • Manage work across teams and projects

  • Prioritize tasks from one central list

  • Complete To Dos without switching between spaces

When you complete a To Do in your People space, Strety updates it everywhere that To Do appears.

Custom To Do lists

You can create custom To Do lists in your People space to organize your work in a way that fits your personal workflow.

Use custom To Do lists to:

  • Group work by priority

  • Organize tasks by category

  • Separate work by team, project, or focus area

  • Build a personal task management system

These lists help you organize assigned work from across Strety without changing how To Dos are organized in the original Team Space or Project Space.

Create and share items from your People space

In addition to viewing work assigned from other spaces, you can create items directly from your People space.

You can create:

  • Personal Rocks

  • Personal Measurables

  • Personal To Dos

When creating an item, select your personal space instead of a Team Space or Project Space.

Items created only in your People space are visible to members who have access to that space.

You can also create items in your People space first, then share them with the appropriate Team Space or Project Space. This gives you flexibility to start work from your personal dashboard and connect it to a team or project when needed.

Use your People space with your manager

If a manager is assigned to you in Strety, your People space includes tools that support regular manager conversations, coaching, accountability, and development.

The video above shows how to use 1:1 Agendas and Reviews from your People space. For written guidance, continue to the sections below.

1:1 Agendas

When a manager is assigned to you in Strety, a dedicated 1:1 Agenda is automatically created in your People space.

Your 1:1 Agenda gives you and your manager a private place to review priorities, discuss progress, and track follow-up items. Many organizations use this Agenda like a personal L10, with recurring sections for work updates, coaching, and development conversations.

To open your 1:1 Agenda, select Agendas in your People space.

Your 1:1 Agenda may include:

  • Rocks

  • Measurables

  • To Dos

  • Issues

  • Headlines

  • Custom Agenda Items

This creates a consistent structure for recurring manager conversations.

Personal Issues

People spaces include a dedicated Issues list that is separate from Team Spaces.

Use personal Issues to:

  • Capture challenges or concerns to discuss with your manager

  • Prepare discussion topics for 1:1s

  • Track items that need coaching, feedback, or support

  • Stage Issues before sharing them with a Team Space

You can review Issues during your 1:1, or use the list as an async place to discuss and resolve topics through comments.

Personal Headlines

People spaces also include a dedicated Headlines list.

Use personal Headlines to:

  • Share updates with your manager

  • Highlight accomplishments

  • Surface important context before a 1:1

  • Track information your manager should know

Performance Reviews and Quarterly Conversations

Your People space is the home for Reviews where you are the subject.

If you are the subject of a Quarterly Conversation or Performance Review, it appears in your People space for easy access and reference. Managers can also initiate Reviews from this area, or Reviews can be started through the HR Center as part of a Review Cycle.
