Strety Messages | Complete Guide

Written by Derek Weaver

Strety Messages provide a centralized, transparent way to communicate across your organization—whether you're sharing detailed company updates, collaborating with your team, or organizing work that leads to action.

Unlike quick updates in Headlines, Messages are designed for more in-depth communication and collaboration. They allow teams to discuss, react, and turn conversations into actionable items, all within Strety.

Collaborating Within Messages

Messages are designed to be interactive and transparent.

Within a message, users can:

  • React to provide quick feedback

  • Comment to ask questions or contribute ideas

  • @mention teammates to bring them into the conversation

This creates an open communication loop across teams and the organization.

Turning Messages into Action

Messages are not just for communication—they are designed to drive execution.

From a message or its comments, you can create:

  • To-Dos – Assign action items to individuals

  • Issues – Bring topics into your L10 meeting for discussion

  • Headlines – Share important updates more broadly

You can also create To Dos, Issues, or Headlines from individual Comments

Best Practices

  • Use company-level Messages for high-visibility updates

  • Use Messages instead of Headlines when discussion or detail is needed

  • Encourage teams to engage through comments and reactions

  • Capture ideas in Messages, then convert them into actionable items

  • Use personal Messages for planning and preparation

  • Keep communication transparent whenever possible
