Video walkthrough
The video below provides a full walkthrough of Strety To Dos. For step-by-step written instructions, continue to the sections below.
Creating and updating To Dos
Create a To Do
You can create a To Do from Quick Create, a Team Space, or your Person Space.
Open the area where you want to create the To Do.
Click Create To Do or use Quick Create.
Enter a Name and Description.
Select a Primary Space.
Assign an Owner.
Select a List or Priority, if needed.
Add Subscribers, if needed.
Link the To Do to an integration, if the work should sync with a third-party platform.
Save the To Do.
You can also create To Dos inline in many areas of Strety. Click the inline fields to update details such as Due Date and Owner.
Duplicate To Dos
Use duplicate To Dos when you need to assign the same task to multiple people. Strety creates a separate To Do for each selected owner, so each person can track and complete their own work.
Create or open the To Do.
Enable Duplicate.
Select the people you want to assign the To Do to.
Select Select all assignees, if you want to assign it to everyone in the Team Space.
Click Create or Save.
Create recurring To Dos
The video below covers recurring To Dos. For the written rules, see below.
Strety creates the next recurring To Do after the current To Do is completed.
The next due date is based on the previous To Do’s due date.
For example, if you complete a weekly recurring To Do with a due date of August 8, Strety creates the next To Do with a due date of August 15.
You can create recurring To Dos without an assignee.
If a recurring To Do is linked to a third-party integration and completed in that platform, Strety creates the next recurring To Do after it receives the completion status.
Create checklist subtasks
Add a checklist to break a To Do into smaller subtasks.
Open the To Do.
Find the Checklist section.
Add each checklist item.
Save your changes.
In List view and Kanban view, Strety shows checklist progress so you can see how many subtasks are complete.
Organizing To Dos
Create To Do Lists
To Do Lists help you organize Team Space or Person Space To Dos into clearer groups.
Open a To Do page.
Click Create To Do List.
Name the list.
Add To Dos inline or move existing To Dos into the list.
You can drag and drop To Dos between lists using the six-dot handle to the left of the To Do name.
Note: To Do Lists are space-specific. If a To Do is assigned to one list in a Team Space, it can be assigned to a different list in another shared space, including your Person Space.
Use Kanban view
Kanban view lets you organize To Dos by list and move work between lists using drag and drop.
Create one or more To Do Lists.
Click View as Kanban.
Drag and drop To Dos between columns as work changes.
The video below covers the features available in Kanban view.
Create To Do List Templates
Use To Do List Templates for repeatable sets of To Dos. You can create a template from an existing list or from the Templates page in Adminland.
Note: Only Account Admins and Owners can create To Do List Templates.
To use a To Do List Template, click Create To Do List from any space’s To Do page, then select Create To Do List from Template.
Create To Do Templates
To Do Templates help your team standardize repeatable tasks. A template can include preset descriptions, checklist items, and Custom To Do Fields.
For example, a marketing team can use a To Do Template for blog posts. Each new blog To Do can include the same checklist of publishing steps, which reduces setup time and keeps the process consistent.
Go to Adminland.
Click Templates.
Select To Do Templates.
Click Create.
Add the template name, description, checklist items, and Custom To Do Fields.
Click Create.
You can also turn an existing To Do into a template by opening the To Do and clicking Create as Template.
You can create To Dos from templates from these areas:
The Create button
The three-dot menu in List view
The three-dot menu in Kanban view
After you select a template, you can make edits before creating the To Do.

To Do Custom Fields help your team categorize and organize To Dos based on the way each space works.

Sharing and ownership
Share To Dos across Team Spaces and Person Spaces
Every To Do has a Primary Space. The Primary Space can be a Team Space or a Person Space. You can also share a To Do with other spaces you have access to.
To learn more, read Team and Person Spaces: How to Share Data Across Strety.
When you assign a To Do in a Team Space, Strety also shares it with the owner’s Person Space. This lets the owner see assigned To Dos from multiple teams on their Personal Overview page.

To share a To Do with additional Team Spaces or Person Spaces, click the + icon under Spaces shared with. Shared To Dos appear in the To Do lists for each selected space.
