Headlines are any announcements, bits of news, or pieces of information you want to share with an entire team.

From there, team members can leave comments, add To Dos off the Headline, plus a whole bevy of other actions from the right action menu.

For teams that run their own L10 meetings, any open Headlines will be automatically pulled into their next L10 agenda for discussion.

Cascading Headlines

Keeping teams informed of major decisions, news, and announcements is critical to any successful organization. Strety's Cascading Headlines feature allows leaders to send Headlines to multiple teams at once, trickling messages down to anyone who needs to know in one motion.

Cascading Headlines from an Agenda/L10

Oftentimes, a Headline may be added to a single team, but once discussed in a team meeting, like an L10, you may want to share the news to other teams or departments.

  1. Open the Headline from the Agenda or L10.

  2. Click the Cascade menu option.

  3. Select the Team Space(s) you want to send the Headline to.

  4. Save the Headline.

Creating Headlines from Issues

The majority of time spent in every L10 meeting centers around the Issues list. This is where teams identify, discuss, and solve (IDS) their most important short-term items. Naturally, some of those decisions or resolutions need to be cascaded up, down, or across the organization to keep everyone aligned.

  1. Open the Issue.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Create Headline.

The Headline will be auto-populated with the name and description of the Issue.

Note: You can customize the title and description for the recipient teams without it affecting the original title and description of the Issue.

Cascading Headlines: Who Gets Subscribed?

When you cascade a Headline to another space, subscribers are added automatically based on the destination.

Team Space

When a Headline is cascaded to a Team Space, all members of that Team Space are automatically subscribed, including everyone in the full manager chain.

Personal Space

When a Headline is cascaded to a Personal Space, only the following users are automatically subscribed:

  • The owner of the Personal Space

  • Their direct manager

Note: Automatic subscriptions are based on the type of space the Headline is cascaded to.

Archiving Headlines

Once everyone is up on the news, you can archive Headlines by clicking the three-dot menu to the right of its title.

  1. Open the Headline.

  2. Click the three-dot menu to the right of its title.

  3. Select the archive option.

Note: Headlines also auto-archive when an L10 meeting is completed.
