Strety supports one authentication method per user: Microsoft SSO, Google SSO, or Email and Password. The authentication method assigned to a user is based on the method they use when they first sign in.
Use this guide to switch your own Strety authentication method or help another user move from SSO to Email and Password.
Switch from SSO to email and password
Use these steps if you signed up with Microsoft SSO or Google SSO and want to switch to Email and Password.
Log in to your Strety account.
Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
Select Profile.
Click Switch to Email & Password at the top of the page.
Sign out of your current Strety session.
Open the password reset email from Strety.
Follow the link in the email to set your password.
After you set your password, you can log in with Email and Password.
Switch from email and password to Microsoft SSO
Use these steps if you currently log in with Email and Password and want to switch to Microsoft SSO.
Confirm that the email on your Strety user profile matches your official Microsoft email address.
Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
Select Profile.
Click Add Microsoft at the top of the page.
Strety matches the email address on your Strety account with the email address you authenticate through Microsoft SSO. After the accounts are matched, you can log in with Microsoft.
Switch from email and password to Google SSO
Use these steps if you currently log in with Email and Password and want to switch to Google SSO.
Confirm that the email on your Strety user profile matches your official Google email address.
Log out of your Strety account.
On the Sign In page, select Sign in with Google.
Strety switches your login type to Google SSO after the account is authenticated.
Switch another user from SSO to email and password
Use these steps if you are an Admin and need to switch another user from SSO to Email and Password.
Log in to your Strety Admin account.
Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
Select Adminland.
Click Users.
Select the user from the list.
Under Authentication Method, click the Switch to Email & Password arrows.
Complete the confirmation phrase.
Confirm that the user receives the password reset email.
The user can follow the reset link to set their password and log in with Email and Password.
Change a user’s email address
You can update a user’s email address in one of two ways:
From the user’s profile: Open the user’s profile and update the email address
From Adminland: If you are an Account Owner or Admin, go to Adminland → Users, select the user, and update their email address
If SSO is enabled
If the user signs in with SSO, they need to:
Temporarily disable SSO for their account.
Set a password for the account.
Update their email address.
Re-enable SSO after the email address is changed.
This helps the user complete the email update while keeping SSO access afterward.
Tip: If any of these scenarios do not work for your account, contact Strety Support through the in-app chat.
