What syncs from Strety to ClickUp

The ClickUp integration syncs updates one way, from Strety to ClickUp.

The following To Do fields sync from Strety to ClickUp:

  • Title

  • Description

  • Due date

  • Status

When you update one of these fields in Strety, the linked ClickUp task updates automatically.

Important: The ClickUp integration does not sync changes from ClickUp back to Strety. Updates made directly in ClickUp do not update the linked Strety To Do.

What does not sync to ClickUp

The following updates do not sync from Strety to ClickUp after the To Do is created:

  • Comments

  • Assignee changes

  • Priority changes

Note: The ClickUp assignee is set when you create or link the To Do. To change the ClickUp assignee later, update the task directly in ClickUp.

Sync timing

Updates often sync quickly, but they may take up to 30 minutes.

Note: If a ClickUp task does not update immediately after you edit the linked To Do in Strety, wait up to 30 minutes and check the task again.

Enable default linking for ClickUp

  4. Enable default linking.

  5. Select ClickUp as the integration.

  6. Choose the default ClickUp team.

  7. Choose the default ClickUp list.

  8. Choose the default ClickUp assignee.

  9. Click Save.

After default linking is enabled, new To Dos assigned to you in Strety automatically create linked ClickUp tasks using the default team, list, and assignee you selected.

Important: Default linking does not update existing To Dos. It only applies to new To Dos assigned to you after the setting is enabled.

Choose manual linking or default linking

Use manual linking when you want to choose a different ClickUp team, list, or assignee for each To Do.

Use default linking when most of your ClickUp tasks should go to the same team, list, and assignee.

Tip: Manual linking gives you more flexibility. Default linking works best when you consistently use the same ClickUp destination for your assigned To Dos.
