Pinnacle Announcements | How to share news with your team

Announcements are any bits of news or pieces of information you want to share with an entire team.

Creating an Announcement

The easiest way to create an Announcement for any team is via the Quick Create button in the top left.

Give your Announcement a title, assign the team space it's meant for, and add any details or context in the description - you can include attachments

Once sent, the Announcement will populate within the receiving team's Announcement page where it can be viewed by all team members.

From there, team members can leave comments and even add Action Items off the Announcement if needed

For team's that run their own Weekly Tactical , any open Announcement will be automatically pulled into their next Weekly tactical agenda for discussion. We've split the Announcements into (2) categories within the agenda:

  • Business Development

  • Team Engagement - Any announcements without a category will fall into this bucket


Cascading Announcements

Keeping teams informed of major decisions, news, and/or announcements is critical to any successful organization. Strety's Cascading Announcement feature allows leaders to send Announcement to multiple teams at once, trickling messages down to anyone who needs to know in one motion

Cascading a new Announcement to multiple teams

The fastest way to send a message to multiple teams is via the Quick Create button in the top left

Give your Cascading Announcement a title and description & include attachments (if needed). Toggle the Cascade to multiple teams on and select any team(s) you want to share the Announcement with

Once the Cascading Announcement is sent, it will appear as a new Announcement for any receiving team. We also add a tag identifying the sending team

Cascading Announcement from an Agenda/Tactical

Often times, an Announcement may be added to a single team but once discussed in a team meeting, like a tactical, you may want to share the news to other teams or departments.

To cascade an Announcement from an agenda, click the Cascade menu option and select the team space(s) you want to cascade the Announcement to

Cascading Announcements from Topics

The majority of time spent in every Tactical meeting centers around the Topics list. This is where teams identify, discuss, and solve their most important short term items. Naturally, some of those decisions or resolutions need to be cascaded up, down, or across the organization to keep everyone aligned.

To create a Cascading Announcement from a Topic, click the 3-dot menu and select Create Announcement

The Cascading Announcement will be auto-populated w the name & description of the Issue

Note: You can customize the title and description for the recipient teams without it affecting the original title and description of the Topic

The Cascading Announcement along with a tag identifying the sending team will appear as a new Announcement for any of receiving teams


Archiving Announcements

Once everyone is up on the news, you can archive Announcements by clicking the 3-dot menu to the right of its title. Announcements will also auto-archive upon completion of a Weekly Tactical

View any Archived Announcements by clicking the 'Show Archived' button

Announcement Categories

Add an extra layer of organization for your team's Announcements by creating custom categories. Categories can be used group Announcements in your Weekly Tacticals!

We've added a few default categories to get you started but your team can edit & add to the list by clicking Edit Categories and making your desired changes
