One of Strety's core values is to meet you where you work and for many of our users that means Microsoft Teams.

If you live in Teams - or just want the option to access Strety from either your browser or Teams - we recommend adding the Strety Teams App

Watch this video for a walkthrough of how to add the Strety app to MS Teams and create Strety items from MS Teams Chat conversations (written instructions below):

From MS Apps, search for the Strety app and click add

Once added, you'll be dropped on the Chat tab, click into the Home tab for the full Strety experience:

Permissions

The Strety Teams app is a personal app and requires no global admin permissions to download or use.

If you do not have access to adding this app, check with your Microsoft Administrator as your organization may have restrictions on adding apps from teams app store.

Notifications

If you'd like to be notified of Strety activity via Teams (vs email), you can make that selection from your personal notification settings:

Creating Items from Microsoft Outlook (Your Inbox)

The Strety app is also available as a Microsoft Outlook add-in, allowing you to create Strety items directly from Outlook emails.

Watch this video for a walkthrough of how to add the Strety add-in to Microsoft Outlook + how to create a To Do, Issue, or Headline from any email:

Troubleshooting: Authenticating the MS Chat Bot

If you do not see an option to Create Item in Strety from your MS Teams Chats or to select Teams from your notification settings, you likely need to re-authenticate the MS Teams Strety bot - it's a quick & easy process

  1. Click the Chat tab from the Strety MS Teams app

  2. Type signout in the message

  3. Follow the prompts to sign back in
