Quarterly Planning Sessions are critical to the success of your organization. They serve as an opportunity to pull your head up from your week-to-week to evaluate recent performance, review & (re)set priorities for the next 90 days, and do a little housekeeping to ensure info/data does not grow stagnant & forgotten throughout the grind of a busy quarter.

Prepping for your Quarterly Planning Session

The Quarterly Planning Session typically covers the following agenda, so take time to prep by reviewing the data in Strety or by exporting a PDF report of the data to prep offline (see below)

  • Scorecard review: Analyze the scorecard for patterns and trends over the last 90 days to understand what worked, what didn't, and what needs to change

  • Rock review: Check the completion status of the previous quarter's Rocks and identify any incomplete Rocks that are still priorities for the next quarter

  • Issue List review: Review existing issues and add any new ones from the past quarter or "elephants in the room" that need to be addressed

  • VTO updates: Examine the VTO and 1-Year Plan to ensure alignment with current quarter's progress + update Quarterly Vision for upcoming quarter

  • Accountability Chart review: Assess the accountability chart to see if it sufficiently supports the company's needs for the next 6 to 12 months.

    • Note: This may not need to be done each quarter

  • Finalize Rocks for upcoming quarter: Define 3-7 new, measurable Rocks for the upcoming quarter that are (typically) tied to the annual plan

  • Alignment on next steps/action items: Ensure there is clarity and commitment on all action items and To-Do's for the quarter.

Taking your Quarterlies Offline

If you opt to perform your Quarterly Planning Session outside of Strety, we have customizable PDF reports you can print-off and take into your offline session

To pull a PDF report of any/all the data you need, click the 3-dot menu from your Team Overview page

Give the report a name, select the date range the report should cover - this will determine which rocks & metrics are included, and toggle on/off which tools you want included in the PDF and click Export to PDF
